Folsom to launch graphene-enhanced custom skis later in 2021

Ski tools maker Folsom is launching new graphene-enhanced customized skis. Folsom is collaborating with MITO Supplies, so as to add the graphene into Folsom Customized Skis resin. The graphene is alleged to extend efficiency, cut back weight and enhance the product’s toughness and endurance.

In the direction of the tip of 2020, Folsom produced three customized skis, that undertake the brand new graphene-enhanced resin. These skis had been examined all through the season, and Folsom mentioned there are “notable enhancements within the flex, dampening, and structural properties that you would quantify within the lab and on the slopes”. Folsom will begin providing graphene-enhanced skis in its subsequent era 2021 line, which can begin delivery in September 2021.

In 2014 HEAD launched a line of skis that featured graphene, stating that graphene allows them to cut back weight whereas growing the product’s energy. Graphene was used within the midsection of the groomer ski class to permit heavier tip and tail of the ski to grip the snow, and in powder boards graphene was used within the tip and tail to permit the ski to drift by means of the fluff. HEAD’s graphene-enhanced skis are still in production today.
